The Last Hurrah
In 1882, King Lycaon, a werewolf of Greek myth put into action a plan to destroy the mythical world. His exact reasons are unclear, though he claimed it was to end the tyranny of the gods over humanity. His plan involved breaking one of the great rules, by travelling between the sphere of influence of multiple different cultures, until he reached Denmark. There, by way of dark magic, he somehow fused himself with the great wolf Fenrir, and attempted to initiate Ragnarok before it could be carried out as prophecy states it must.
He was foiled thanks to the efforts of the members of the Cambridge Classical Society with the help of Captain Blackfield Shandy and his crew, but this event was etched into the minds of the Aesir, and they recorded it as the Næstenragnarok. Literally translated, this means “Almost Ragnarok”
